RS> So in fd from terminal I can get it to connect to my bbs over 24554 but of
RS> course from terminal fd is not identifying itself as my point and while it
RS> connects nothing really happens, in the vmodem screen it shows that this
RS> is happening. However still when the fd mailer tries to call my bbs the
RS> dial screen pops up things look alright, no errors and nothing is logged
RS> in the vmodem screen? Am I getting there?

FD is a dial-up mailer using the EMSI protocol. Look for other FD or EMSI
mailers operating over telnet or vmodem.

I don't think you'll have any luck with binkp mailers on port 24554. Port 23
or 60177 are often used for EMSI mailers like FD or MBSE over telnet.
