Ok, that's the one with xfce4..

   > Kubuntu,

And that should be KDE, like I use.

You should see somewhat of a difference between them, but who knows with 11.04.

Yes, bring up the message that you want to copy - you can use the message
number, or - (minus) or + (plus key) to make it the current message.

Then type the message copy command, mc.

You get a prompt that says something like: Hit Enter to Copy here, or type the
   Area name to copy to.

You'd type 'main' since that's where you want to copy the message to.

Once you've done that then j main (join main), you'll see 1 new message there
   (the one you've copied).

Type dup to change/edit that message, add more text to it, delete extra stuff
you don't want.. then save it as usual.

   >> If not that, then what you want to look for is 'terminal'. It's in the
   >>accessories menu under Gnome and Unity is based on Gnome.. so you may luck ou

   > what either name means, let alone how to tell them apart -- or even turn

Linux allows you to select and use different "styles" of desktop or say window
managers.. For KDE, you'd install Kubuntu for that one. For XFCE4, you'd
install Xubuntu, and so on, as I mentioned at the top of this message.

Gnome was the default if you didn't want kde, or xfce4.. It used to come up
with a bright orange screen and just some icons on the desktop. Up in the
right hand corner, there were icons that let you make more choices. I'm sure
Ubuntu 11.04 changed the look of some of that with Unity.. but I'm not running
   that here.

   Take care,
   Janis
