Recently you wrote in a message to All:              AK> Maybe our honorable teachers can give a homework       AK> for us?                      Ahh. There's an invitation I can't refuse... [chuckle].               Homework, BTW, is not countable but homework assignments are.                            AK> Do you have school tests on Grammar rules etc?                      Tests, no. A grade 9/10 grammar textbook which includes questions,       yes. I may be able to get some ideas from it. Meanwhile:                      1) "Etc." is an abbreviation which calls for a period, but        you're also asking a question here. AFAIC it's okay to        use a period followed by a question mark in such cases.                      2) Can you pluralize these words?               tooth               lens               cactus               goose               moose               mouse               brother-in-law               wife               woman               index               memorandum               millennium                      3) What corrections or improvements would you suggest here?               Me and Ruth went shopping yesterday.               I bought this car off of my friend Pete.               Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow.               I only have $20 in my pocket.               The reason I didn't hand in my assignment is        because I forgot it at home.               For more information or to buy now, call xxx.                            AK> Perhaps, it would be fun to make them out.                      I hope you enjoy the above.... :-))       --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k+        * Origin: Wits' End, Vancouver CANADA (1:153/716)       SEEN-BY: 1/120 123 18/0 19/10 30/0 90/1 105/81 116/116 120/340 123/0       SEEN-BY: 123/25 35 40 126 131 150 170 180 190 200 755 129/305 135/300       SEEN-BY: 138/146 153/250 757 7715 154/10 203/0 218/700 221/0 1 6 360       SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 702 229/101 424 426 664 700 720 1016 1017       SEEN-BY: 240/1120 5832 249/206 317 261/38 280/5003 282/1038 301/0       SEEN-BY: 301/1 101 113 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/11 200 423/81 460/58       SEEN-BY: 640/1138 1321 1384 712/848 3634/0 12 15 27 50 5058/104       PATH: 153/7715 3634/12 640/1384 221/1 301/1 229/426           |
