Recently you wrote in a message to Alexander Koryagin:              BK> First, colleagues not colleges.                      Thank you. Many hands make light work.... :-)                            BK> At my former employer, I would be up at 1 or 2am to take       BK> conference calls with my German colleagues. They'd wonder       BK> why I would yawn on the calls. When I reminded them of       BK> the time, they'd profusely apologize.                      For many years Dallas & I received telephone calls from Florida       at 5:00 AM asking e.g. "What would you like me to do with this load of       rutabagas?" I'll leave it to the reader to imagine what some people might have       told them to do, but we answered the question with another question... do you       realize you're calling somebody's home in Vancouver BC & it's 5:00 AM here?        The truck drivers who made the calls apologized profusely when they understood       what was going on. It seemed there was an error in the directory a lot of them       were using.... :-)                            BK> Sadly, when I'd make calls convenient to me, they were       BK> all home and getting ready for bed. Oh, well, life goes       BK> on.                      Uh-huh. The situation I alluded to did clear up after awhile...       I guess because the word got around &/or because the error was emended in a       later version of the directory. Now that our aged relatives in the UK have       passed on we also keep the ringer volume turned down when we're sleeping,       however. Those who are still alive use e-mail when they have something       important to say. :-))                                   --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k+        * Origin: Wits' End, Vancouver CANADA (1:153/716)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 90/1 105/81 120/340 123/131 129/305 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 227/702 229/101 424 426 664 1016 1017 240/1120 1634 1895       SEEN-BY: 240/2100 5138 5411 5824 5832 5853 8001 8002 8005 249/206       SEEN-BY: 249/317 261/38 280/5003 282/1038 313/41 317/3 320/219 322/757       SEEN-BY: 335/364 342/200 371/52 382/147 2454/119       PATH: 153/7715 261/38 240/1120 5832 229/426           |
