3 teaspoons-1 tablespoon in "official" North American cooking measurements.

In tableware for meals, we have many more utensils. We call each set a "Place
setting" which would typically consist of a table knife (i.e., not very
   sharp!), a salad/dessert fork, a dinner fork, a soup/dessert spoon, a
teaspoon (for coffee or tea), A typical household would probably have several
   place settings,
often purchased as a package deal.

There are other tableware utensils which are much less common, such as a
butter knife, a fork for eating snails, etc., but most of us don't own such
things. In very formal circles the salad and dessert fork, and soup and
dessert spoon would be different sizes--but again in the typical
household they're the same size and can be used for either purpose.

Then we could get into glasses; white and red wine glasses, sherry glasses,
   liqueur
   glasses....I just use a tumbler!!

   Cheers... Dallas
