Recently you wrote in a message to Ardith Hinton:               AH> Now that you mention it, I think the boy might well have        AH> been using railroad explosives. The author describes him        AH> as "gray"... perhaps suggesting he hadn't bathed for        AH> awhile, and "scrawny"... perhaps suggesting he didn't get        AH> enough to eat.               AK> Do you think that scrawny children have nothing to eat? :)                      Not necessarily... but many others seem to think so. If the boy was       between the ages of six & sixteen it's possible he was at a stage of growth in       which he was becoming taller very quickly & the rest of his body hadn't caught       up yet. It's also possible that, like one of my cousins, he had inherited the       ectomorph body type from his father & grandfather. In my experience those who       rely heavily (!) on cheap carbohydrates are more likely to be overweight. :-Q                                   --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k+        * Origin: Wits' End, Vancouver CANADA (1:153/716)       SEEN-BY: 1/19 120 123 15/2 16/0 18/0 90/1 116/116 120/544 123/0 25       SEEN-BY: 123/50 130 131 150 755 135/300 138/146 153/250 757 7715 154/10       SEEN-BY: 154/30 40 700 203/0 2 124 221/0 1 6 227/114 400 229/354 426       SEEN-BY: 229/1014 230/0 240/1120 2100 5138 5832 5853 249/206 317 261/38       SEEN-BY: 300/4 317/3 320/119 219 322/0 757 342/200 640/1384 2454/119       SEEN-BY: 3634/0 12 15 24 27 50       PATH: 153/7715 3634/12 154/10 203/0 320/219 240/5832 229/426           |
