Recently you wrote in a message to MICHAEL DUKELSKY:               DM> The majority of Amtrak's delays are due to freight railroads        DM> giving priority to their own trains over passenger trains.        DM> Even though this is explicitly against the law, only 1        DM> violator has ever been charged by the Department of Justice        DM> in the entire 47-year history of Amtrak.               MD> Denis, this echo is not for exercises with a robot. It is a        MD> human-only echo. So please stop your robot posting anything        MD> here.               MP> Maybe he meant that for a railroading echo?                      Now that you mention it, I see there's an echo called RAILFAN which       has recent traffic together with at least one contributor Denis already knows.               In the E_T echo people do quote news articles & whatnot at times...       because they want to know e.g. whether "the majority of [blah blah]" should be       treated as plural, to which I'd answer "yes" after running some other examples       through my head. Whether or not the claims in one news article or another are       valid is generally best directed to an echo specializing in the topic.... :-)                                   --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k+        * Origin: Wits' End, Vancouver CANADA (1:153/716)       SEEN-BY: 15/2 57/0 123/1970 153/250 226/17 229/107 354 426 1014 240/5832       SEEN-BY: 249/206 317 267/800 310/31 317/2 3 322/757 342/200 393/68       SEEN-BY: 712/848 770/0 1 10 100 340 772/0 1 500       PATH: 153/7715 250 770/1 393/68 229/426           |
