              The simple answer to Alexander's query is "no".  That was my initial   
    reaction too.  When Anton questioned it, you realized there were exceptions   
   but couldn't think of any examples offhand &/or waited for somebody to ask.    
   Here's my usual slow & wordy response for the advanced students among us, and   
   for Paul (who IMHO knows more about this crazy language than he thinks he
