Plonked would suggest "heavily or carelessly" (Oxford       Dictionary) and cakey is slang for over-sweet in demeanor. So in more       conventional English we might say "she sloppily kissed her forehead". But I       think the slang version gives more flavour of British working class.              Cheers...
