   Yes, it is a very famous city of Russia, at least for those who graduated from   
   school before the perestroika. It is the town where Lenin was born, and as far   
   as I know his memory is still honoured there. Probably it is not bad because   
   the memory of controversial people must not be wiped out by force. New time   
   must give birth to new heroes. New people, with new capitalist ideology, must   
   do something that will make life of Russians happier and better. If we don't   
   have such people now, but we have thieves instead -- let Lenin's monuments   
   stay where they are now. ;-)

   IMHO, you were right. Just look -- at October 7 ALT.USAGE.ENGLISH had 274   
   messages! It is a crazy traffic, and I doubt that it is possible to read it   
   constantly. Here you can have talks, ask your questions. It is a good, I would   
   say, chamber echo. Although in the past it had better times and very hot   
   discussions. :) So many things can be said just because you need language   
   practice!   
      
   The people here cannot correct all mistakes, but certainly I believe that most   
   important mistakes will be corrected. And it makes this area helpful.
