   They say that "advice" is an uncountable noun, and we should say "He gave him   
   a piece of advice."   
      
   However "advice" can be countable if we say it in this way (taken from a novel   
   by J. Priestly "An Inspector calls"):   
      
   He gave him a little good advice.
