From what I deduced during preliminary       investigations, it seems to stem from a Fidonet node operated by the       Hinton's. Not either of their nodes that they post from, but a third       'protocol service' node.              It's not a local-to-us thing as I've seen my friend's node in Sweden was       affected as well.
