Hi, Paul Quinn!
   I read your message from 09.09.2015 12:32
   about Animal gender.

ak>> In the future, the author was given a month to write a book about
ak>> Mars. The fan was getting his novel page by page, as it had been
ak>> written, reading the pages and admiring them....

PQ> My initial thoughts on the tale centered on the incredible timing
PQ> required to snatch & return the star author.

That talented author should be returned back to his death, to the past, to
prevent the future from unpredictable changes. He was taken from the past just
for a moment. As far as I remember (from my childhood) it was an illegal
operation did by the fan of good literature. He took the author from his
deathbed, brought him to the future and cured him. After the author wrote his
book about the future he was returned to his deathbed, to the exact moment he
had been taken from. It was a deal. Before the deal, the author was asked what
he wanted stronger: to die that moment, or to have another month of life and
   do his favorite business. ;-)

PQ> For the longest time I
PQ> pondered on a probable time-travelling paradox but, by making
PQ> allowances for an intelligent time-travller, then it could actually
    PQ> work.

PQ> There again, I guess even 'Bill & Ted' could pull it off. Given
PQ> that they leave enough sticky note reminders for required
PQ> retrospective actions, of course. [giggle]

ak>> BTW, who did write this book? What is the name of its title? I
    ak>> want to read it.

PQ> That's strange. I'm reminded of a book or short story titled
PQ> "Support Your Local Police". By Robert Heinlein? Was it Heinlein?
    PQ> Do I get a cookie? :)

I believe it was Ray Bradbury, but I couldn't figure out the English name of
the book. Perhaps, the book's name in the Russian translation does not
resemble the original one. I want read it in the original.

   Bye, Paul!
