|    A crazy sentence    |

Hi alexander -- on May 01 2015 at 19:00, you wrote:               ak>> .... red eyes weren't a symptom of rabies, or, for that        ak>> matter, anything seen out? side of the kind of film that        ak>> neither of the Tylers would be caught dead at but knew all        ak>> they needed to know about, thank you very much.               DH>> Which part don't you understand, Alexander?              ak> Well, can you write me the part of the sentence after "or" in your       ak> own words? Don't forget about "thank you very much", at the end. :)       ak> Maybe after that I'll understand it.              Ah, now I understand your problem. There is a type of person who has never       seen "art" films, or pornography (or even erotica) but who considers they know       all about such things and don't approve. They say things like:              "Popular music? I wouldn't be caught dead at such a thing." Meaning that       there is no chance you would ever see them attend that sort of event. The last       sentence is a take off (said without quotation marks) of the sort of sentence       that such a person would say. Imagine it being said of a rock concert by a       pompous wealthy woman (these stupid statements are usually said by women, I       regret to say) in a snooty "I'm better than you are" tone of voice.              "I've never been to a rock concert but I know all about such things, thank you       very much". (the thank you implying that the topic is closed since she knows       best.              This is a very British sort of paragraph, very clearly defining the type of       person to us ex-Brits, and very hard to explain!                            Cheers...
