   Windows 7 does not have a telnet client built in. You'll have to find an   
   add-on client somewhere.   
      
   Hmm -- on looking further, I'm wrong. It DOES have a client, but it's not   
   enabled.  Whether it's any good I don't know, but instructions can be found   
   here: http://www.wikihow.com/Activate-Telnet-in-Windows-7   
      
   I use PuTTY as a client, found at www.putty.org -- it seems to work quite well.   
      
   (Answered in echomail as we in North America seem to have problems sending   
   netmail to a European point).
