                                 14300 KHZ news!   
      
   Brief notes on the activity taking place on the most active   
   emergency frequency in the western hemisphere.   
      
   THis weekly news synopsis is posted to net controls on 14300 khz along with   
   other reports every SUnday morning.  IF you spend any time   
   listening to that frequency you might find some of these items noteworthy.

   FOur audio streams of 14300 khz.  Receivers located in   
   MObile, Alabama; MIami, FLorida; BLoomington, Minnesota and   
   San Diego, CAlifornia.   
      
   THe following is a brief recap of events or incidents which   
   occurred last month on or about 14300 khz.   
   IT is published the first Sunday of every month when   
   previously collected material is found by the automation.   
      
   ON November 20 the 14300 khz nets were involved in the rescue   
   of the vessel S/V Zephyr, two persons aboard, Captain   
   Robert, the owner and DAvid, KJ5TC off the coast of Belize.   
   Kudos to ki4mmz; km4ma; kc5ago and others.   
      
   The 14300 khz nets were also involved in disseminating   
   information about S/V Barbara, enroute from Cape Hateras   
   to St. Augustine, FL.  Barbara was found safe during the   
   first 24 hours of this incident.   
      
   ON the 27th we assisted Captain GAry, ve3gkg aboard S/V   
   summer Delight bound for Bermuda.  Gary had encountered   
   some rough going and declared an emergency.  OUr communications   
   assistance enabled him to effect repairs and get underway   
   again.
