The Endtime Discussion Group Exchange (EDGE_ONLINE) Echo Rules

   The Endtime Discussion Group Exchange, (EDGE), echo is not a debate echo to   
   argue the validity of the Christian faith, or the beliefs of the Christian   
   faith. It is a Christian-oriented echo where Christians, and other people   
   who have a sincere interest in learning about Christianity, can meet for   
   instruction, chat and fellowship. If your primary intention is only to mock   
   and malign our Christian faith, then please do not participate in this echo.   
   The HOLYSMOKE and DEBATE echoes may better suit your needs.   
      
   Echo rules will be strictly enforced on all echo participants. Failure to   
   comply with any of these rules after several warnings will result in the   
   offending participant being banned from this echo, either temporarily, or   
   permanently, depending on the seriousness of the infraction.   
      
   All echo participants are expected to be aware of the echo rules before   
   posting in it. By posting messages in this forum, you are signifying that   
   you agree to be subject to, and to abide by, the rules of this echo.

   At the discretion of the Moderator, the following rules may be updated or   
   revised at any time without any notice or obligation to echo participants:   
      
   Do not publicly argue with the Moderator in this echo. He has the final word   
   in all administrative matters and decisions. If any echo participant has an   
   issue with the Moderator, use either regular email, or else FidoNet netmail,   
   to discuss the grievance.   
      
   The official language of the Endtime Discussion Group Exchange, (EDGE), echo   
   is English. Do not post messages in other languages. Using Hebrew, Greek and   
   Armaic words to explain the meanings of Biblical texts is permissible.   
      
   Do not speak evil of or belittle our Christian faith. If you don't believe   
   in the God we worship; if you do not accept the Bible as His inspired Word;   
   and if you only come here to argue and debate with us, and to mock our   
   beliefs, then please go elsewhere.   
      
   Do not promote non-Christians beliefs in this echo, whether they are derived   
   from Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism, Wicca, Native American,   
   New Age (such as Gaia, Nibiru, Mayan Calendar), or any other non-Christian   
   belief systems.   
      
   This is strictly a non-denominational Christian echo for individual   
   discussion. Do not use it to promote the specific doctrines of your church   
   or organization, whether it is Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Jehovah's   
   Witnesses, SDA or any other denomination or group.   
      
   Do not harass, speak evil of, argue with, make sexual advances at, provoke,   
   troll, bait, intentionally antagonize or belittle anyone in this echo. Your   
   general behavior here should be "And be ye kind one to another,   
   tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath   
   forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32, KJV   
      
   The purpose of this echo is to engage in ongoing Christian-oriented   
   conversation with other echo visitors; it is not to silently post endless   
   streams of articles of interest, without interacting with other visitors to   
   the echo.   
      
   The EDGE_ONLINE echo is dedicated to the SERIOUS and RESPECTFUL discussion   
   of the Christian faith. It is NOT a personal playground where visitors can   
   engage in silliness and childish behavior. Such nonsensical behavior may be   
   tolerated in other echoes, but it won't be tolerated here. If you wish to   
   engage in such silliness, please visit the appropriate echo, such as the   
   mindless CHATTER echo.   
      
   When responding to other messages, do not over-quote them; only quote as   
   much as is absolutely necessary in order to carry the main thought from the   
   section to which you are replying. In other words, if, for example, you   
   quote fifty lines from a message, and then only offer a few lines of   
   response, this is a clear case of over-quoting. If you quote an entire   
   message of over one hundred lines, and then just add a smiley to it, or a   
   one-line response, this is also excessive quoting. Repeated excessive   
   quoting will be considered extremely annoying, and you will receive a   
   warning to stop by the Moderator.   
      
   If you have an issue with a user or Moderator from another echo, do not   
   bring that problem into the EDGE_ONLINE echo. It was not started here, and   
   it should not be discussed here. Period.   
      
   If another user is banned from the EDGE_ONLINE echo, whether on a temporary   
   or permanent basis, do not post messages addressed to that person, and do   
   not discuss that person in the echo while their ban remains in effect, as   
   they will not be able to respond to you, and your comments may possibly   
   annoy them as well.   
      
   Please strive to share Scriptures which support your views, so that other   
   echo participants can see why you think and believe as you do. If you do   
   share any verses from the Bible, we prefer that they be taken from the   
   Authorized King James Version of the Bible, and not from any of the other   
   modern translations.   
      
   Do not post ads or announcements for other echoes in the EDGE_ONLINE echo.   
   If you wish to inform other FidoNet users and BBS users about a certain   
   echo, please use the appropriate echo, which is the ECHO_ADS echo. Users can   
   also refer to the ECHOLIST echo for newly available echoes.   
      
   Do not use this echo as an extension of your own ministry by posting long   
   Bible lessons, or other doctrinal material, or by seeking to draw our   
   visitors away to your ministry. The Moderator reserves the right to post his   
   articles in the forum, for the purpose of stimulating discussion amongst   
   echo participants.   
      
   Do not contribute any posts which contain any kind of dirty, vulgar or   
   disrespectful language. This includes commonly-used Internet lingo such as   
   "lmao", "wtf", "stfu", etc., as well as using asterisks, or other symbols,   
   in your words, in order to make your foul language seem less offensive.   
      
   Do not make any posts which describe in detail any extreme forms of violence   
   such as murder, torture, physical mutilation, etc.   
      
   Do not make any posts which contain or explicitly describe any form of   
   sexual activity, be it heterosexual or homosexual.   
      
   Do not talk about, ask about, or advertise, pornography.   
      
   Do not talk about, ask about, or advertise, software serial numbers.   
      
   Do not talk about, ask about, or advertise, warez, that is, illegal, pirated   
   software, such as commercial computer programs, movies, mp3's, etc.   
      
   Do not use ASCII art of any kind in this echo.   
      
   These rules may be amplified by the Moderator at any time. Thank-you for
