I was just reading an interesting story on the ABC 27 WHTM news site in   
   Pennsylvania, USA entitled "Harrisburg Mayor Plans 3-Day Fast". It concerns   
   the plans of Harrisburg mayor, Linda Thompson, to pray and fast for three   
   days, in order to seek God's Guidance, and bring unity to the city's   
   leaders, as they seek solutions to the serious financial crisis that the   
   city is currently facing.   
      
   In this modern day -- even in so-called "Christian" America -- it isn't   
   often that you find a political leader who is courageous enough, and willing   
   to make such a public stand for our Christian faith. Most politicians would   
   no doubt be concerned with how doing such a thing would affect their   
   standing with their constituents, particularly with those who are not people   
   of faith. In my view, this woman is to be commended.   
      
   Some people may argue, "Well, what about the separation of Church and   
   State?" My answer to critics and naysayers is this: Really? Should we really   
   care? Perhaps if more of America's political leaders got serious with God --   
   and publicly -- more of the nation's problems would be solved. Sadly, most   
   of them are too concerned with political correctness.   
      
   The bottom line is that to divorce God from government is to commit national   
   suicide. If you don't believe it, read the Old Testament, and see what   
   happened each time that the Israelites abandoned God. I also encourage you
