As you have no doubt heard by now, on Wednesday, Frenchman Dominique   
   Strauss-Kahn resigned as the managing director of the powerful International   
   Monetary Fund, due to legal charges stemming from serious allegations which   
   have been made by an unidentified female housekeeper in a Midtown Manhattan   
   hotel -- a 32-year-old  widowed immigrant from Guinea -- who has accused   
   Strauss-Kahn of rape, and forcing her to engage in non-consensual oral sex   
   this past Saturday.   
      
   As King David once said upon reflecting on the death of King Saul and his   
   sons in battle:   
      
   "How are the mighty fallen . . ."   
   2 Samuel 1:19-27, KJV   
      
   While the Bible teaches us to not glory in the calamities which befall our   
   enemies, nevertheless, we must recognize when God chooses to let His   
   Judgments fall upon a nation, a society or an individual.   
      
   According to mass media reports, Strauss-Kahn has a long history of   
   promiscuity, and this is not the first time that his colleagues have tried   
   to protect him, so perhaps his sins have finally caught up with him. Not   
   only has this bad publicity deeply embarrassed his native country of France,   
   but it may also ruin Strauss-Kahn's chances of becoming France's next   
   president.   
      
   Equally important is the fact that this negative publicity may just humble   
   the International Monetary Fund a little bit. As I have been stating for   
   years now, the IMF simply wields too much economic power over the nations of   
   the Earth. To become indebted to the International Monetary Fund -- or to   
   its cousin, the World Bank -- is to become enslaved to it. Furthermore, when   
   these men gain so much power, in their vanity and pride, they think that   
   they can do anything, and get away with anything. Well, as the Bible also   
   teaches us:   
      
   "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

   Thank God that we belong to a nation, and to a Kingdom, where righteousness
