|    RAGE Show: An Eye For An Eye - New Deter    |

RAGE Show : An Eye For An Eye -- the new deterrent              A New Film By . . .                     Today, we live in such a politically-correct world. We have become so       superficially polite, and so concerned with projecting an image of being       civilized, that even cold-blooded, violent murderers are given a humane       three-drug cocktail so that their lives are terminated as they are knocked       unconscious, without ever feeling even the slightest bit of the same pain       that they inflicted upon their victims.              Gone is death by stoning. Gone are the swords and the guillotines. Gone are       the firing squads. Gone are the gallows. Gone are the electric chairs. These       methods of terminating a human life instilled fear in would-be doers of       violent crimes -- they were strong deterrents -- but they are all gone.              So we must ask ourselves: Is this new easy way out -- lethal injection --       really serving to deter violent crime?              In fact, is condemning a violent murderer to be locked up for the remainder       of his or her life, without any chance of parole -- at the expense of the       state -- really serving to deter violent crime?              Has the criminal justice system become too soft, or possibly even too       corrupt?              Is it in fact time to reform the criminal justice system?              And the big question: Is it time to go back to the Mosaic Law and "an eye       for an eye"?              What if social justice were placed in the hands of the families of the       victims?              What if in place of political correctness and superficial politeness, the       families of victims were allowed to express their full rage against the       perpetrators of these hideous crimes by inflicting upon them the very same       acts -- and no more -- that they committed against their deceased loved       ones? Yes! An eye for an eye! Full, untempered revenge!              Would this give the victims' families more closure? Would it give them more       of a sense of justice? Would it give them more peace of mind?              What if -- in an effort to make this new criminal justice system an even       stronger deterrent against violent crime -- it was broadcast nationally on a       weekly basis for all to see? Just think; the producers could even use slow       motion cameras and zoom lenses as the families of the victims made the       perpetrators of these crimes really suffer for their vile deeds. Gore for       gore, and limb for limb, all in beautiful color, right before your very       eyes! And, of course, the families of the victims would remain immune to       criminal prosecution!              This is . . .              "RAGE Show : An Eye For An Eye -- the new deterrent"              . . . coming to a theater near you!              Now tell me; would you go to see such a film?              Would you sit in your seat and cheer on the families as they took their       revenge against these scums of the Earth?              Before you answer, consider the following:              "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can       know it?"       Jeremiah 17:9, KJV              ". . . For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,       adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,       lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil       things come from within, and defile the man."       Mark 7:20b-23, KJV              In contrast to the imaginary scenario which I have depicted for you in the       previous lines, the Bible actually teaches us the following:              "Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins."       Proverbs 10:12, KJV              "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."       Matthew 5:7, KJV              "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also       forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your       Father forgive your trespasses."       Matthew 6:14-15, KJV              "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin       against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say       not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."       Matthew 18:21-22, KJV              "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be       condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:"       Luke 6:37, KJV              "Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him;       and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times       in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent;       thou shalt forgive him."       Luke 17:3-4, KJV              "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore       such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also       be tempted."       Galatians 6:1, KJV              "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even       as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."       Ephesians 4:32, KJV              "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity       shall cover the multitude of sins."       1 Peter 4:8, KJV              "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and       to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."       1 John 1:9, KJV              Forgiveness does not come easy to the human heart. We want oh so much to       hold on to our anger, our bitterness, our rage, our grudge, our desire for       revenge; particularly when it involves a violent crime against ourselves, or       against someone whom we love. In some cases, it is in fact humanly       impossible to call up even the smallest degree of mercy and forgiveness from       within ourselves. It in fact requires Divine Intervention, and a total       spiritual transformation of our inner man. It also requires that we honestly       recognize what sinners we are ourselves.              For more information concerning this topic, please consider reading such       articles as "Love, Mercy, Forgiveness and Chastisement" and "Bloody But       Unbowed : Timothy McVeigh and the Death Penalty".
