Egypt's Hosni Mubarak Refuses To Resign
   11 Feb 11 22:57:00

As many of you will probably have heard by now, in a televised
seventeen-minute speech which shocked the Egyptian population, unsettled
other world leaders, invoked new criticism, and defied all logical
expectations, long-time Egyptian dictator, Hosni Mubarak, adamantly refused
to step down from the Egyptian presidency until his current term ends this
   coming September.

While reactions abroad were diplomatic but firm in tone, in Egypt itself,
the weary protestors -- who have been protesting in Cairo's Tahrir Square
for weeks now, and whose numbers at times have swelled according to some
reports beyond half a million participants -- were quick to condemn the
   "president" and his pie-in-the-sky speech.

Hosni Mubarak's speech marks a serious turning point in the civil unrest
which has permeated that country since several weeks ago. Clear lines have
now been drawn in the sand, and what comes next may be dreadful -- and
bloody -- indeed. It all depends on what the Egyptian Army determines to do.
Will they side with the protestors, or will they support the "president"?

It has been suggested that ambiguous statements made by the Egyptian
military's top brass may be an indication that a coup is about to take
place, and that Hosni Mubarak will be forced from power, whether he likes it
   or not.

Meanwhile, the protestors are not so certain regarding the true intentions
of the Egyptian military. Is a military coup what they really have in mind?
To the contrary, some are inclined to believe that Friday, February 11, 2011
will be a very bloody day in Egypt, in which many lives will be lost as
pro-government forces and the military confront the protestors in a
bloodbath. It shouldn't take us long to find out, as even as I write this,
it is already Friday afternoon in Egypt.

As Nobel laureate and former head of the United Nations International Atomic
Energy Agency, Mohamed ElBaradei, recently stated in his Twitter feed:

"I ask the army to intervene immediately to save Egypt,"

The big question is this: If Mubarak falls -- as he should -- what will
happen next; not just in Egypt, but in the rest of the Arab and Muslim world
as well? From Tunisia, to Egypt, to Jordan, to Syria, to Yemen, the voices
of protest against oppressive governments have already been raised. One
government -- Tunisia -- has already fallen; and the leaders of the
remaining countries have already taken steps to try to avoid what is now
happening in Egypt; but will they be successful, or will the masses see
through their deceptions and half-hearted attempts at reform?

More importantly, how are these current events in the Middle East related to
Biblical Endtime Prophecy? Is there a connection? Is God in fact patiently
working behind the scenes in order to set up the final players and events of
the Endtime? Will the Beast and the False Prophet soon make their
appearance? Will Israel find herself once again surrounded by her enemies on
   all sides?

If you are not familiar with these events, then I invite you to avail
yourself of the many articles that are found on the Endtime Prophecy Net
   website.
