|    Egypt Explodes - Will Mubarak Fall?    |
|    29 Jan 11 19:59:00    |
I have been saying for years now that despite its hypocritical claims of       promoting peace, freedom and democracy throughout the world, the government       of the United States of America has knowingly, and intentionally, supported       hard-line dictatorships around the world, either through economic packages,       military sales, trade agreements, or simply by turning its head the other       way while those governments oppress and abuse their own people.              I have repeatedly pointed to Egypt's 30-year leader, Hosni Mubarak, as one       good example of this. The man is a thug, and everyone knows it. To refer to       this man as "president" is an absolute joke; yet this is exactly how the       American mass media, and American politicians, choose to address him. Hosni       Mubarak is a ruthless dictator who has received literally billions of       dollars in American aid -- or more appropriately stated, in American bribes       -- over the past several decades, in order to ensure that Egypt remains at       peace with Israel. As far as I know, that is the ONLY reason why the USA       deals with Mubarak. As occurs in other Muslim countries, Christians are a       minority class, and are oppressed in Egypt. They don't have the same rights       as Muslims.              I have stated many times that the American government doesn't really care       what kind of government is in control in foreign lands, as long as those       nations remain pro-American. That is all that matters. The only time that       the American government shows concern for the citizens of a particular       country, is when some troublesome report appears in the news media which       alleges human rights violations. Then, and only then, does the USA suddenly       -- and hypocritically -- go through the motions of showing concern.       Otherwise, it usually remains mute concerning such issues, because trade       deals, where billions of dollars in profit is to be made, as well as       advantageous military alliances, are more important than the well-being of       the common people.              Well, Hosni Mubarak is now doing as all good little dictators will       eventually do. I was just reading an article in the New York Times entitled       "Mubarak Orders Crackdown, With Revolt Sweeping Egypt". Sure enough, even       though he has already been in power for thirty years, Hosni Mubarak doesn't       appear to be ready to let go of power just yet, even though his son Gamal is       waiting in the wings to take over. Thus, Mubarak's government not only       declared a nationwide curfew, but now it has begun to crack down on the       growing number of protesters, and imposed a news blackout while it goes       about its devious deeds of putting down the revolt in whatever way it can,       and it will no doubt be very brutal, but off-camera.              Thank God that we Christians are constituents of the only righteous, fair,       benign and just Government that there will ever be; and that of course is       the Kingdom of God, which one of these days will physically reveal itself       upon this Earth. Consider the following verses:              "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In       my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told       you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for       you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there       ye may be also."       John 14:1-3, KJV              "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this       world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the       Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."       John 18:36, KJV              "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen       them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed       that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such       things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been       mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had       opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is,       an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he       hath prepared for them a city."       Hebrews 11:13-16, KJV                            Jeff Snyder, SysOp - Armageddon BBS Visit us at endtimeprophecy.org port 23       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------       Your Download Center 4 Mac BBS Software & Christian Files.
