|    Muqtada al-Sadr's First Public Speech    |
|    11 Jan 11 15:35:00    |
As you may have already heard, radical Shiite cleric, Muqtada al-Sadr, has       returned to Iraq after a four-year exile in Iran, and he is already busy       stirring up the pot against the infidel invaders and occupiers in Iraq; that       is, the Americans and the British. In his first public speech since       returning to Iraq last week, he is already making it very clear to the       government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, that he and his followers       expect al-Maliki to carry out his pledge to have all US military forces       removed from Iraqi soil by the end of this year, as has been agreed upon by       the two governments.              In his fiery speech, al-Sadr referred to the United States, Israel and Great       Britain as "our common enemies", and he also let Prime Minister al-Maliki       know in no uncertain terms that, should he fail to carry out his pledge,       al-Sadr's people "have the political means" to apparently remove al-Maliki       from power.              Of course, there is a very big problem brewing here, because no one who       understands the situation really anticipates that all American forces will       leave Iraq by the end of this year. The main excuse that has been given is       that Iraq is not yet ready to defend itself against foreign aggressors. It       will be interesting to see then, exactly how al-Sadr intends to carry out       his threat. Backed by Iran, and with the support of Islamic radicals within       Iraq itself, he could indeed disrupt the current status quo in Iraq once       again, just as he did a number of years ago when his militias confronted       American forces in Iraq.              The question in my mind at this current time, is how far will the US       Government be willing to go in order to solve their problem with al-Sadr? An       assassination attempt perhaps?              One thing I can say for al-Sadr, is that similar to a few other radical       Muslim clerics, he could very well fit the bill for being the Islamic False       Prophet, who could quite possibly team up with a powerful Islamic political       leader, to become the Beast and the False Prophet pair who are found in the       thirteenth chapter of the Book of Revelation. Time will certainly tell, but       once again, I advise everyone to keep a close eye on this man. Unless he is       assassinated, he is not simply going to go away. He's tasted power, and he       wants more of it.                                   Jeff Snyder, SysOp - Armageddon BBS Visit us at endtimeprophecy.org port 23       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------       Your Download Center 4 Mac BBS Software & Christian Files.
