|    Total Lunar Eclipse    |
|    22 Dec 10 17:46:00    |
I don't know how many of you watched the total lunar eclipse yesterday. It       was the perfect time for us here, as the moon was already fully covered       right after sunset on our eastern horizon.              Earlier in the afternoon, we had some prolonged, very heavy showers, and I       thought that the clouds would ruin it for us. However, by sunset, there were       just clouds on the eastern horizon.              I kept going outside on my back balcony, and kept wondering why I couldn't       see the Moon anywhere. Finally, I went out to our front balcony, and lo and       behold, the Moon was already high up in the sky at about 45 degrees. The       reason why I couldn't see if from the back balcony is because, due to our       latitude, it was more northeast, than east, on the horizon. I took a few       peeks, and then went back to work on my computer.              What I find extremely interesting is the fact that, according to information       on the science.nasa.gov website, this is was the first total lunar eclipse       to occur on the day of the Northern Winter Solstice -- December 21st --       since 1638, and only the second one to occur during the past 2,010 years.       That makes such events extremely rare. There must be some spiritual       significance to that fact, but I don't know what it is yet. I am reminded of       this verse:              "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and       upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves       roaring;"       Luke 21:25, KJV              Anyway, below is an interesting link where you can see some really nice       images and animations of yesterday's total lunar eclipse.              /en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_2010_lunar_eclipse                            Jeff Snyder, SysOp - Armageddon BBS Visit us at endtimeprophecy.org port 23       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------       Your Download Center 4 Mac BBS Software & Christian Files.
