This echo is deader'n Kelsey's nuts!               TR> Tell ya what; I'll post in here....you come smokin' out all pissed off        TR> and remonstratin' with me....maybe it'll scare up some traffic in here!                     Thank you for pointing out a few security holes I had in my system. There are       many echos on fidonet that may (or may not as you pointed about p'ing someone       off) appreciate your interjection of a little humor (I hope you were       attempting humor) in them. Unfortunately this is one area I do actively       monitor, just in case, because I am a moderator.              Again this BLIND sysop (who's vision is improving daily) has had to fix a       security hole here. You may gladly look, but I have to honor the section       which you so kindly quoted back to me, below.               -> Permission will be granted to recognized moderators of Fidonet echomail       -> conferences who are not themselves the operator of a system listed in        -> the Fidonet nodelist.              Since you are not a nodelisted sysop and I'm not aware of you moderating any       conferences I have to remove the write access on your security level per the       instructions below.               -> The conference may be made available as read only to all other points        -> and users.              If you are an echolisted moderator and need access to this echo please follow       these instructoins to get access.               -> Moderators who are not Fidonet system operators may send email to        -> mark.lewis@ftn.wpusa.dynip.com with a subject line indicating that the        -> message is requesting write privileges in this conference. Parties        -> requesting access via email must state which listed Fidonet system they        -> will be using to post in the conference, or a point address derived        -> from a listed Fidonet system. When permission to post is approved it        -> will be posted in the echo, and routed netmail sent to the sysop        -> hosting the requester. IF an individual requesting posting privileges        -> is not known to the moderator his/her request will be conveyed to the        -> echo for the purpose of seeking additional information from echo        -> participants.              Mark is a very honorable person, regardless of past opinions and history I       know he will abide by his rules above.              And as I consider you a friend, and have gone to bat for you several times in       the past few months please remember that the statement below applies to       everywhere on fidonet.               "Sysops are responsible for any/all traffic that leaves their system."              That means I catch the flack first not you... and ultimately I can have my       node number excommunicated if things get too crazy. I do hope you regard me       as a friend and understand. Please be mindful about going into echos to stir       up trouble and rememer -I- went to bat for you... I'm sure Marc and many       others will attest to this as well.              Thanks              Allen              ...
