   Hello, Jay.

Friday March 25 2011 at 23:19, you wrote to All:

Lots of us do, myself included. Heck, I still write "old" DOS-based BBS doors
   and sysop utilities...

JD> If so do you have problems with fossil drivers?

   Depends...

   I've been running OS/2 for 15 years now and it's rock-solid stable. I even
have a setup where people can telnet in via their web browser using a program
   called fTelnet ("flash telnet").

That's because you don't use BNU under OS/2: you use SIO/VMODEM (SIO are the
I/O system drivers, VMODEM is the telnet engine). :) SIO has VX00, a
"virtual" FOSSIL driver, built-in that is used for the OS/2 DOS subsystem.

I have had OS/2 running on a system with 64MB RAM before with telnet access.
I think your problem is like you said: inexperience. What version of OS/2 do
you have? It sounds like that you definitely just need a wee bit of help in
setting up OS/2, so check out the OS2 echo here in Fidonet or ht
   p://www.os2world.com.

JD> So does anyone have any ideas on how I can get my ancient hardware on
    JD> telnet/internet?

Why are you insisting on running Novell these days?

   Later,
