   No Mark.. The Dogs do not have an enzyme to break it down properly.

   Not going to tell You what to do, but I would stop that. I have been told,   
   LikeChocolate, Never feed it to a dog. Chocolates' effects may go away and is   
   worseon susceptible dogs. But the Vet told me that Onions have a cumulative   
   affectand affect the Blood cells, You may not notice a problem after   
   immediatelyfeeding them onions. But they are very toxic and over a period of   
   time, Shesaid it will give the dog an incurable blood disease. The damage   
   usuallyhappens slowly over a period of time. But it is SERIOUS Damage. Those   
   arebasicially the terms as she put it to me. Chocolate, Green Grapes and   
   Broccoliare generally all no no's. But Onions, though the damage is not seen   
   right awayis up near the top of a list of things not to feed them.
