   The number 666 is a number that can be calculated   
   in order to figure out who is the Antichrist.  That   
   is what the Good Book says.  But is it true?  After   
   all, many have claimed to have figured it out, only   
   to have been later proven wrong.  However, this time   
   it looks like somebody has finally performed what   
   appears to be the correct calculation.  Here is the

   I'll summarize what the site proclaims, as the site   
   is quite lengthy -   
      
   Napoleon Bonaparte proclaimed himself Emperor, taking   
   his crown directly from the hands of the pope many   
   centuries ago.  Since that time, there have only been   
   a handful of names chosen by subsequent popes.  A   
   total of seven names, plus the eighth that has been   
   just elected.   
      
   Each pope has a name, with a number following that name.   
   For example, Benedict XVI (Name, Number).  Adding up the   
   numbers of the name gives a total.  Adding up all the   
   numbers of each name gives a complete total.  The complete   
   total is the number of the pope in power.   
      
   Example -   
      
   John Paul - two popes named John Paul - 1+2+3 numerical total   
      
   Antipopes (pretenders to the throne)   
   are not included in the numerical total.
