Re: RE-Listing The Echo        By: TIM RICHARDSON to BILL MCGARRITY on Thu Mar 14 2013 10:27:00              OK... this is going to be fun.....                       TR> It was a `liberal' court that *found* abortion in the Constitution. It        TR> ain't there (yes...I said *ain't*), never was, and only that liberal court        TR> (and modern-day liberal democrats) saw it in there.              The right to choose is. I'll not get into the when life begins arguement as it       doesn't pertain here. The 1st Amendment leaves that decision in the hands of       the person.                      TR> The Second Amendment to the Constitution says: *The Right of The People to        TR> Keep and Bear Arms Shall Not Be Infringed*.                      TR> What part of *.....Shall Not Be Infringed* is confusing to all these        TR> liberal democrats who're trying to outlaw firearms in the hands of *The        TR> People*?              Hey, you forgot the begining of the 2nd Amendment, you know, that part that       says "well regulated"....? I have no issue with a "SANE" and responsible owner.       If you disagree with my stipulations of sane and responsible, how about we       stick you in a locked room with Charles Manson, him packin a Kimber Raptor II       and you're naked as a jaybird. Still feeling safe?                      TR> What part of the Constitution allows them the right to restrict, and        TR> ultimately confiscate firearms from private hands?                      TR> Pretty much every firearms law since 1968 is unConstitutional.              When it comes to someone who's not sane and responsible it's not the       Constitution that says the weapon should be taken away, it's common sense.       Well, if you feel that way, then you better go pray at the Church of Ronald       Reagan as he was the driving force behind both the Brady Bill and the 1994       Assult Weapons ban. "God" has spoken....                               TR> Nobody said both parties don't do the `gerrymandering'. But thats not the        TR> `context' in which I used the word.                      TR> Look right up there where it says (and I'm quoting):              IN that case, go find a dictionary, you're confused over the meaning of       "gerrymandering". To save you a trip, it has to do with restructuring of       election districts to gain an upper hand. See, wasn't that easy?                      TR> Obamacare is a complete violation of the Constitution. Does it not cause        TR> you any discomfort that (by their own words) the majority of congress        TR> passed it and this idiot in the White House signed it into law, and most        TR> (if not all) didn't even read what they were passing?                      TR> Doesn't it bother you when a national law maker claims the authority for        TR> the Obamacare health bill is *in the Constitution*....and when asked        TR> pointedly by someone, on camera...*where is it in the Constitution*....she        TR> gets a confused, thousand-yard stare in her eyes and says "....are you        TR> serious?....are you `serious'?"....but doesn't actually answer the        TR> question, and nobody called her on it? Pinned her to answer? That doesn't        TR> bother you?                     So what you're saying is the Affortable Health Care act, passed by BOTH houses       and defined by the US Supreme Court as constitutional doesn't mean a thing to       you....?? Mmmm... we still live in a Republic based on Democratic principles       therefore, write your congressman and bitch.... or better still, YOU run for       office. I'd love to see a person up there that knows it all.                               TR> They tried to bring a simple sense of sanity to the election process by        TR> requiring photo ID for voters to cast a legal vote. Whats wrong with that?                      TR> You cannot cash a check without photo ID. If you think you can....the next        TR> time you cash your paycheck, try going into a bank you've never been in        TR> before and where nobody knows you and cash it.                     So, again, you're saying it is ok for any Tom, Dick or Harry to own a firearm       without documentation but a "person" need a photo ID to vote? What part of       common sense haven't you got a grasp on yet? BTW, the 1st, 4th and 9th       Amendments say it's ok to excercise that right as a "person". No where does it       say "citizen"....               BTW, can you state the percentage of voter fraud which is documented versus the       murder rate by guns by mentally unstable "citizens"? And no, Faux News is not       a source for anything pertaining to credible documentation.                      TR> Using a credit card in most places requires photo ID.              Mmmm... that's against the regulations as per the issuer of the card. No       merchant has that right. Try again....                               TR> When a person first registers to vote they should be required to do so        TR> *IN* the Registrar of Voters' office. And they should have an ID with        TR> their photo on it AND their birth certificate to PROVE who they are. Whats        TR> wrong with that?              It's illegal... as documented by the Constitution.... read above...                       TR> By the way...before you come off with some `story' about `republicans        TR> disenfranchising voters'.....in the national news in the very recent news        TR> cycles...there was a democrat POLL WATCHER! who admitted voting SIX        TR> FRIGGIN TIMES for Hussein! In Hamilton County, Ohio! Two times she used        TR> her real name, and the other four times she used the names of relatives!              I told you.... Faux News is not credible... Karl Rove almost had a stroke when       he wsa told Ohio was lost... poor fellow. Best TV I've seen in a LONG time...                       TR> You gotta ask yourself....how are our presidents getting elected? Just how        TR> honest are our presidential elections?              You should have asked yourself that question after the 2000 election. Does the       Constitution say the US Supreme Court has the power to elect a President? Why       bother, your candidate was the receipiant of the handout.                      BM>>Is it now the latest rage of the GOP to destroy certain communities        BM>>filled with those who's views do not match their own?                      TR> .....what??.....              "Gerrymandering".... look it up!!                      TR> You lost me there somewhere.              I'll not comment on this one... it was way too easy.                      TR> No....it is NOT a *living, expandable document*. It is what it is. There's        TR> nothing about `abortion'....`health care'....`free-furnished `birth        TR> control'....or a lot of other stuff that have been `umbra'd' and `pee-        TR> numbra'd' out of it over the years.              Ever hear of Amendments 11 through 27? If not, I guess you own a slave       somewhere..... being slavery was acceptable during 1789.                              TR> The *genius* embedded within the document is that it means the same thing        TR> today as it did when it was written. The `growing'...`expanding'        TR> ...`living' in it is to in the end cause it to be meaningless. The        TR> president we have today ignores it whenever he feels like it. He's even        TR> been told by a federal judge that some things he's done are        TR> un-Constitutional and therefore void! Yet he goes along with what he did        TR> to violate the Constitution as though that federal judge never made a        TR> ruling.              Well, all your points above have been debunked with clear and precise       Constitutional reasonings. I guess you're talking about some appointments made       during Congress recess... which you're right, but where does the Constitution       give the US Supreme Court to choose a president against the rights of the       voters? Catch 22 isn't it? Congress today is filled with idiots who followthe       Amighty "dollar" freely handed out by Corporate America to pave the road to       their goals. I would think you'd be more upset over the lies spoken tom the       American people over Iraq. You know, that war that killed over 4,000 soldiers       for the warped gratification of an elected official or better still, Corporate       America aka BIG banking ripping the heart and soul put of the people because       of greed.                               BM>>The writers were men, not gods and they knew this.                      TR> So to are the men and women who sit in seats of power today.              I never said they were...                               Adios!!                Bill               TequilaMockingbird Online        Telnet: bbs.tequilamockingbirdonline.net        IRC: irc.tequilamockingbirdonline.net Ports: 6661-6670 SSL: 6697        Radio: radio.tequilamockingbirdonline.net:8010/live        Fidonet: 1:229/300.10                Look TWICE....
