   RE-Listing The Echo
   02 Mar 13 18:34:32

   Hello Tim,

   TR>Hmmm....seems pretty dead in here.

That is because only the un-dead remain.

TR>Ok....I'll re-list the echo, be the new moderator, and post
   TR>some new rules.

You cannot re-list an echo that has never been de-listed.
Since the owner of this echo (Bob Klahn) has never relinquished
his claim of ownership, or ceded his ownership to anybody else,
he remains sole owner (and moderator) of this echo.

You can, however, list a new echo, claim ownership, and declare
yourself as moderator. Why you would want to call your new echo
by the same name as another echo is beyond me, but I'm not you.

In regards to this echo (the one owned by Bob Klahn), it has
never been de-listed by the moderator or by active participants.
Therefore, there is no reason for any active participants (or
   lurkers) to re-list this echo.

You did mention that you have re-listed this echo, which means
that you had at some point in the past de-listed this echo. Others
have done the same, coming and going as they please. However,
re-listing an echo does not make an individual the moderator of
that echo. If that were the case, an individual could de-list
every echo on fidonet and then re-list every echo on fidonet and
claim to be moderator of every echo on fidonet.

You have also shown an interest in being the new moderator of this
echo. If the present owner would do like the pope and abdicate his
throne, that might even be a possibility, however remote (popes
only abdicate once every 600 years or so).

TR>Might as well post the new rules in advance.

Wow! A sneak preview of what set of rules you would like
participants to play by! That could be interesting ...

TR>Rule number one: No threats of physical violence allowed.

What a relief! No more bullying by the sheriff and his gang on
   The Walking Dead!

TR>Rule number two: No `sounding' on family members of other users
   TR>allowed.

Cajuns never cry over spilled milk, preferring their own special brew.

TR>Rule number three: When opinion exchanges heat up a little...always
TR>remember rule numbers one and two.

   Rule #1: No bullying.

Rule #2: No crying over spilled milk.

Sounds like our governor. No rules for himself, only for others.
So insecure he cannot take criticism, being vindictive to the point
of vengeance upon those who disagree. I hope he wins the Republican
nomination for president in 2016. Future President Hillary Rodham
Clinton would be delighted to be the second woman to whip his ass.

TR>Oh and.....Wayne Chirnside, Danny Ceppa, and Mark (fuckin') Lewis,
TR>are permanently banned from this echo.

Wayne Chirnside is really Ed Koon and can do whatever the hell he
wants. Danny Ceppa has left the building, and is now a member of the
Israeli Knesset, plotting another war against the Arabs, which he seems
to have gotten confused with the Persians. Mark Lewis has been having
far too much fun performing stand-up comedy in London, Bristol and
Cardiff to bother participating in this forum.

TR>All other users are welcome to post in here subject to following
   TR>the rules.

Well, as long as Richard Helm does not come back from the dead ...

   TR>Tim (the new moderator) Richardson

   Pull my finger.
