   by her son, who also went on to kill 20 children and 6 other adults,

   No hunters, serious or not, use assault weapons of any kind for   
   hunting.  They use them at a shooting range, firing at paper or

   National Geographic did an entire season of shows based on them.   
   And is now airing a second season ...

   There is absolutely no doubt in anybody's mind that the guy who   
   offed his mother, all those school children, and other adults and then   
   himself was totally bonkers.  Had those weapons and ammo not been   
   available, his mother would not have been able to buy them.  And her   
   son would not have been able to kill her and all those children and   
   other people including himself.  Imagine that.  Gun control could have   
   saved 28 lives, 20 of those lives being children.   
      
   Guns don't kill people.  People with guns kill people.  Not people   
   with pencils and paper.  Not even people with knives.  That is why the   
   UK banned guns.  That is why Australia banned guns. That is why Japan   
   banned guns.  That is why China banned guns.  It is time the USA did   
   the same.  Banning assault weapons would be a good first step.
