   I support open carry myself, imho an armed society is a   
   polite society.   
      
   yEt I also support an assault weapons ban.  A functional   
   illiterate with a backwards baseball cap and a third grade   
   education does not need to be wielding a weapon which can   
   kill an innocent person a block away because it doesn't have the sense to   
   control its weapon.   
      
   But, imho an armed society is a polite society.  But,   
   military style weapons in the hands of the untrained  should be banned imho.    
   That's reasonable.   
      
   But, having a carry permit and supporting an assault weapons ban doesn't make   
   one a hypocrite, at least if one has a   
   functioning brain.
