Hello Everybody,   
      
   US Senator Dianne Feinstein is a hero.   
   I hero in the Senate and the entire Congress.   
   Why?  Here's why -   
      
   "I'm going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be   
   introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons.  It will   
   ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession.   
   Not retroactively but prospectively.  And it will ban the same   
   for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets.  So there   
   will be a bill.  We've been working on it now for a year."

   during a discussion about guns after Friday's deadly mass shooting   
   at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut   
      
   We need more heroes like US Senator Dianne Feinstein.   
   Heroes who are willing to stand up to the NRA and its   
   sickening philosophy of gun ownership trumping the   
   lives of little children.  How many more innocents have   
   to die before this country gets serious about this issue?   
   The rifle that was used in the murders of 20 children   
   and 6 adults was the same make and model as the rifle   
   used by the "Beltway Sniper" - Muhammed and his young   
   accomplice Malvo.  This rifle is huge, and is known as   
   a sniper's rifle.  The two handguns the shooter brought   
   with him had clips holding 30 rounds, with the shooter   
   having many more clips and ammo in hand.  The little   
   children at Sandy Hook never had a chance.  And neither   
   did the adults.   
      
   Assault weapons are not used for hunting, unless one   
   is hunting people.  Drug dealers and criminals would benefit,   
   as well as nutters.  So please, tell me why the NRA is so   
   opposed to assault weapons being banned.  Tell me why so   
   many Republican politicians are so opposed to assault weapons   
   being banned.  Does the NRA (and Republican politicians) hate   
   little children?  Does the NRA (and Republican politicians)   
   hate life itself?   
      
   It is time to ban assault weapons again.   
   Yes, you heard that right.   
   Assault weapons have been banned before.   
   It is time for the Congress to do it again.   
   And for the President to sign it into law.   
      
   NO MORE COLUNBINES!   
      
   NO MORE VIRGINIA TECHS!   
      
   NO MORE SANDY HOOKS!
