   I was told very early in life that you can't spend your way to properity.   
   However it seems that was wrong - in fact spending without income is the way to   
   go.   
      
   Run up massive debt, then ask for a bailout if you're a company 'too big to   
   fail.'  If you're just a Joe sixpack, the plan is a bit different - go on   
   welfare and then insist you need that 36 inch flat screen as 'everyone else has   
   one.'   
      
   It's mildly interesting to observe this hoo-haw about increasing the ceiling.   
   You know they have to do it, but the hoo-haw is almost comical.   
      
   Jeeze, how did we get into this mess anyway?  I'm trying to think of the point   
   where the wheels started to come off but can't really pin it down.  Reagan   
   really twisted on the lug nuts, but I think they were working lose long before   
   him.
