>
RW>> I'm dead serious. Along with that, I'm rather disgusted
RW>> with a bunch of octogenarians telling me bs instead of
RW>> loking at the future with anything other than all this
    RW>> whining about national debt.

BK>> Esp since the great majority of that debt was accumulated under
BK>> three republican anti-tax presidents. Even what has accumulated
BK>> under Obama is a small portion by comparison.

RW> Right, and most of that national debt was incurred by
RW> people who do the least for average folks. Screw that!
RW> YEah I know, it's tough to swallow you gotta spend to get
RW> out of the hole you dug yourself into, but that's where we
RW> are. OUr young people need education, our electrical grid
RW> isn't going to keep up with projected demand, and essential
    RW> infrastructure is crumbling.

With Romney promoting policies that will put us back into
recession, so it just all gets worse.

   >

BK>> Yep. Shut down all the public colleges. If you can't afford a
BK>> private college you are a peasant and deserve nothing.

RW> Right, but please support medicare, meals on wheels, etc.
RW> etc. Come on! YOu can't expect uneducated young people
RW> with 30 hours or less a week to keep paying and paying into
RW> this. As our baby boomers join the ranks of the seniors in
RW> ever larger numbers we need those young people educated and
RW> working at jobs that provide them the abilities to support
RW> those seniors. But hey, join the plutocrats, I got mine,
RW> screw you kids! NOpe, it don't work that way.

And that is the part they miss. When the burden becomes too
great, they start voting against Medicare. Even those seniors
won't outnumber the younger voters. And then add in the seniors
who actually care enough about their children to vote with
    them...

RW>> want handsome" they tell us. Screw handsome! How about
RW>> seeing what needs to be done re alternative energy
RW>> production, improving the electrical distribution grid to
RW>> meet future needs, repair and upgrading our transportation
    RW>> infrastructure, etc.

   BK>> You damn liberal!

RW> Maybe, but I became a libertarian because i realized that
RW> the dumbed down tv watching populace will buy whatever the
RW> guy who spends most money for ads tells them, and that the

Fortunately they are doing so many adds the public is getting
    sick of them.

RW> lifestyle my parents afforded wasn't going to trickle down
RW> to my kids and grandkids. i had a graspof this sad fact in
RW> 1980, the first time I voted libertarian.

And yet, Romney's kids will have it just as good. I do believe
he has it covered, if he gets the estate tax abolished his
wealth will go to his kids without ever being taxed.

RW> IF we can't put our resources places where it will benefit
RW> us the most then nobody should get anything imho. iF we're
RW> not going to provide for maintenance of that essential
RW> infrastructure, including health care and education, then
RW> scrwe it, shut down this massive bureaucracy and let those
RW> people join the ranks of the unemployed. Undo this snarl

Or, line the rich against the wall...

RW> of red tape that hurts small business the most, and let it
RW> be truly every man for himself. I'm sorry, we had to
RW> take away grandma's paid for scooter from the scooter
RW> store. Along with it, say goodbye to vocational rehab if
RW> you were hurt on the job, farewell to public education as
RW> well. YOu can't have it both ways! Either you invest in
RW> sustaining your society or you invest in none of it, truly
    RW> every man for himself!

And that is just what they are shooting for. The far right wants
to end public education, health care, etc.

RW>> You put people to work at other than 30 hours or less a
RW>> week at Walmart then you have the money for medical care for
RW>> octogenarians. otherwise, I'm sorry, but we just can't
    RW>> afford it!

BK>> Yep. I've been saying that all along. We need jobs, and we need to
   BK>> bring back the factories.

RW> OF course. That's the only way we can do it. Right now
RW> you can forget younger folks with families owning their own
RW> homes, having the things we grew up with. ITs' not

I have come to the conclusion owning a home is too much trouble.

RW> available to them, but every time they tell us that they
RW> need proper medical care for their kids, schools that
RW> really do the job, etc. they're told sorry it isn't
RW> available, and they're told this by moochers waving their
RW> tea party banners while cruising around on an electric
RW> scooter they paid for, with an oxygen tube up their noses
RW> that the young paid for, meals on wheels that the young
RW> paid for. We're a culture that's hellbent on eatings its
    RW> young!

The Tea Party is one of the most corrupt forces in US politics
    ever.

RW>> YEt I still see a lot of apathy among young working age
RW>> folks. they don't figure that it makes any difference
RW>> whether they vote for tweedle ddumb or tweedle dumber.
RW>> Can't blame them, it's more for the plutocracy, screw them!
RW>> iT isn't going to improve their lives whichever one they
RW>> vote for. The only thing I get from both parties when
RW>> trying to talk to our younger voters is "drop your pants
    RW>> and bend over."

BK>> Obama doesn't know, Romney doesn't care. They actually believe the
BK>> interest rate on student loans is a problem. Hell no! It's the
   BK>> student loans themselves.

RW> Yep, I've always said that if I'm going to pay taxes one of
RW> the things I'd think is a prime reason to pay them as so
RW> that every young person can get a free education and a real

    Damn Straight!

RW> start in life, and said education should be appropriate to
RW> his abilities. Then let him start out raising a family,
RW> and contributing to the tax base, to his community in other
RW> ways, etc. There's the potential for a much greater return
    RW> on investment.

Exactly. The job of society is to produce children who can
contribute to society, so they can produce children...ok, you
    get the message.

RW>> I keep telling my grandson to be careful to go into a field
RW>> that can't be outsourced to China or somewhere similar.

BK>> Which everyone else will be trying to get into.

    RW> There's the rub!

Yep. Maybe war is the answer. Reduce the population about 90%.

BK>> Medical bills are a major factor in over 50% of bankruptcies. So
BK>> businesses lose their money, and debtors wind up with little or
BK>> nothing, but the medical industry, the cause of so many
BK>> bankruptcies, is protected against the disaster they caused.

BK>> Repeal the Bankruptcy (De)reform act of 2005 or whenever, and let
BK>> hospitals and doctors share the risks with the rest of us.

RW> I'd agree with that. That whole profession imho is serving
RW> us poorly. My lady got better medical care before they
RW> finally funneled her into medicare/medicaid. When I could
RW> no longer afford to pay her cobra and the co-pays for her
RW> meds the state of louisiana provided better medical care
RW> for her than she's received since we got here to Tennessee,

Which is counter to what almost everyone expects.

RW> and right before we left Louisiana the state system that
RW> cares for the medically indigent finally helped her fight
RW> the fight to get medicare/medicaid and her disability.
RW> Since she's been here it's been all about separating the
RW> taxpayer from his money while we use this lady as a human
RW> experimental animal. Finally she's going to a doctor who
RW> understands that endangering a brittle diabetic for
RW> invasive testing that's inconclusive is stupid.

Aha! A smart doctor. I've known too many people who waited too
long for a doctor to diagnose the condition. Too many who think
the patient is some kinda robot in for mechanical repairs, who
doesn't feel pain. Ok, they just act that way.

BK>> Why would colleges and universities hold costs down, when
BK>> students can get loans for any amount they need? Why would
BK>> lenders not give out those loans, as long as they are guaranteed
BK>> they will get their money back?

RW> Right, and then look at some of the private institutions,
RW> STrayer, etc. that have come under fire recently for not
RW> providing students a high quality education. They suck
RW> down the student loan money, and oftentimes the students
RW> still can't afford to remain in school and complete the
    RW> degree program.

And if they do they don't really use the degree.

BK>> And people wonder why the cost of education keeps rising faster
BK>> than inflation, and yet students have debts they can't pay back.

    RW> It's no wonder, it's very simple.

Only if you actually look. sheesh!
