The electoral college served a purpose in the founding days, but it's archaic
and outmoded. The constitution should be
   amended to abolish it imho.

If it were the John McCain of 2000 who was running I'd
probably say the same, the McCain of 2000 would have
received my vote had he been the party's nominee. The
McCain of 2008 however, especially paired with sarah Palin
wouldn't get my vote for anything.

MEanwhile, Obama is at least a pragmatic individual. I'd
just as soon see the government gridlock continue as take
the brakes off and take the ride down the slippery slope. A lot of the debt
crisis is smoke and mirrors anyway, we're
not the only ones. I'll never vote to abolish personal
freedom for anybody not part of the plutocracy. That's the
danger we face with ROmney and so many congressors duped by
   the tea party.

I find myself so disgusted with both of the major parties that it's a matter
of hold my nose adn vote for either one.

When the bankers who engineered the crash of '08 are under
criminal indictment for their scams maybe I'll change my
mind a bit, but until then I'd just as soon the whole damned thing be
   deadlocked.

   Regards,
              Richard
