Hello Matt,              >FS> -> FS> Romney's religion is not an issue. Religion, as an issue,       >FS> stopped -> FS> when John Kennedy was elected. -> -> -> Romney's       >FS> religion does affect public policy.              >FS>In what way? Kennedy's religion didn't seem to affect public policy       >FS>noticeably.              MM>His positions on LGBT rights do affect public policy and I       MM>do refuse to vote for Romney. I will vote for Gary Johnson       MM>instead of Romney.              Sometimes a constituency has to force a president to act.       For example, Franklin Roosevelt had to be pushed by certain       groups to enact legislation favorable to them. Lyndon Johnson       had to be pushed by civil rights groups. Barack Obama had to       be pushed by those groups advocating health care reform, as       well as those groups wanting a change in the "don't ask, don't       tell" policy. This "make me do it" position taken by presidents       is nothing new, and is likely to continue for as long as we       remain a country.              --Lee                      * SLMR 2.1a * "Life is a jelly doughnut." - John F.
