Hello John,              >LL>My solution would be to make everything free. You and       >LL>others might not agree with that solution. But at least       >LL>I have a solution.              JM>Not on that would work.              It has worked. For decades. For example, look at social       security. And medicare. Along with medicaid. In order to       be eligible for social security and medicare, all one has to       do is be married for ten years to a member of the opposite       sex who is vested in the program (an individual who has earned       at least 40 credits). For medicaid, to be eligible all one       has to be is dirt poor and/or disabled.              The only change I would make in regards to the social security/       medicare program is the rule stipulating an individual must have       been married for at least ten years to a member of the opposite       sex. Obviously it would be better for an individual to have       been married to the one they love, rather than the one they are       forced to pretend to love.              >LL>What is your solution? Or do you have a solution? Hmmm...              >LL>The point is, saying you are against Obama is not a solution.              JM>Well all the big 0 hasn't done anything except attack Romney.       JM>When will he begin to run on his record instead of away from it?              President Obama is running on his record, such as it is.       Attacking his opponent on the campaign trail is part of the       game of politics. Mitt Romney does the same thing in regards       to attacking his opponent, but refuses to run on his record       of having been a lousy governor, failed businessman, and       Olympic Games overseer who needed a lot of help.              >LL>As a strategy, I think it is stupid for a candidate to do that.       >LL>Saying you are against something (or someone) without offering an       >LL>alternative solution is not a winning strategy. "              JM>Let's hope it isn't because that is all BO and the Democrats have.              Thank God Barack Obama and the Democrats have Bill Clinton. :)              --Lee                      * SLMR 2.1a * We all live in a yellow subroutine.              --- Maximus 3.01        * Origin: Xaragmata / Adelaide SA telnet://xaragmata.mooo.com (3:800/432)    |
