...               MM> First we go with the plastic bag ban, who else is going to        MM> have the extra sixty or eighty cents to go to the        MM> supermarket to buy paper bags from the merchant because        MM> they forgot to bring or purchase reusable bags. Since               Buy reusable bags. It's cheaper than paper after a couple trips,        and it does make sense.               MM> Democrats driven away most of the businesses away from our        MM> state it is going to be a mandate that the working class        MM> can ill afford.               What makes you think democrats drove business away from your        state? Where do you think it went? Republican economics sent US        business overseas.               MM> Second we go with the pending one to three dollar a gallon        MM> increases in gasoline which aims to discourage people from        MM> driving.               Where do you see a pending one to three dollar a gallon increase        in gasoline? Sorry, there is no such plan. You have bought a web        legend.               MM> Unfortunately transit agencies do not have 24/7        MM> service on many of their routes and they do not have        MM> flexible routes to get to where people need to go so people        MM> are tethered to their motor vehicles.               Thank the republicans for that.               MM> Since there are not        MM> many jobs available people have to commute farther than        MM> they used to to find their ideal job opportunity.               Ideal job opportunities are not relevant.               MM> Third I would like to see Congress members Baca and Chu        MM> support Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency Act of        MM> 2011.               I would like to see all congress members support FED        transparency. However, I am not familiar with Ron Paul's Act,        but he's so far out I won't sign on without serious information.               Ok, I looked it up. You really have to work to get real details        on any bill on the web, most of what you get is politics on the        subject. I found two things that convince me to support the        bill.               One was a speech by Dennis Kucinich in favor of the bill. I'm        not all that much a fan of Dennis, but what he said was clear        and concise. The other is, my representative, Marcy Kaptur, is a        co-sponsor. Marcy is one politicial I really trust.               So, top democrats do support that bill.               MM> It is disgusting how our purchasing power has went        MM> down the toilet where the US dollar lost 97% of its gold        MM> value since when we got off the gold standard in 1971.               When the dollar went off the gold standard in 1971 we learned        that gold was truly a miserable standard for wealth. Gold has        lost purchasing power against the dollar since then. The price        of gold shot up from $35/oz, an artifically low standard, to        somewhere around $300/oz, and it has not reached a permanent        level above that since then. Even the current run up in gold        price is a bubble waiting to collapse.               MM> When the working class gets more money in their pocket it        MM> is a victory for all involved.               True.              BOB KLAHN bob.klahn@sev.org http://home.toltbbs.com/bobklahn              ...
