...               LL> afford to get sick and die. It is a sick and disgusting        LL> system that we have, worse than what the poorest folks in        LL> third world countries have.               No, not that bad, but no where near as good as the rest of the        industrialized world.               BK>>> Yes. But it's not as wide as you seem to think.              JM>>Or as close as you do.               LL> Obviously, those 12 people killed in that movie theater did        LL> not need medical attention. But what about the 58 or 59        LL> others who were wounded? Did they need to have health        LL> insurance in order to receive medical attention? Obviously               They don't have to have insurance to get emergency treatment,        but they should get billed. Some of the hospitals have announced        they will not charge the uninsured, and will waive co-pays for        the insured, but that's only because it's big news. If you got        shot and it wasn't big news you would pay the co-pay, and if you        were uninsured you would be chased down for the full cost. And        that full cost would be more than the insurance company would        pay.               Oh, the hospital waiver does not cover the doctors.               LL> not. And why should anybody be forced to have health        LL> insurance? Burt Reynolds was right - "All insurance is        LL> scam."               If is if it's not on the order of what the rest of the        industrialize world has.                     BOB KLAHN bob.klahn@sev.org http://home.toltbbs.com/bobklahn              ...
