    down on employers, plus the lack of jobs, has stopped a lot of

    Every other industrialized country in the world has the answer,   
    and it's cheaper than our system that leaves so many out. Much   
    cheaper, $1T/yr for our economy compared to the most expensive   
    national health care plan in the industrial world.

    Maybe. OTOH, everywhere I have ever lived that had a VFD paid   
    the costs out of taxes. Only the fire fighters were volunteers,
