BK>> Nope. In the 1st world nations with national health care people
BK>> get medical care when they need it,

JM> Or any where from weeks to months later. I needed an MRI
JM> after the motorcycle accident (not in an er but later) I
JM> got it the next day. I hear people waiting for months in
JM> Canada and countries in Europe.

Where do you hear about people waiting for MRIs? Optional
treatments, yes, MRIs such like that, not likely.

Or, if in doubt, adopt the Japanese system, half our cost, more
MRIs and Cat scans than the US has per person, more hospital
beds, longer hospital stays, again, half our cost out of the
    GDP.

BK>> My doctor's compensation is between my doctor and my insurance
BK>> company. I would be pretty sure that is how it is for most
BK>> people. That being the case, those without insurance are really
BK>> shafted, as the doctor has a real problem with the insurance
BK>> company with cutting prices, and no real incentive to do so.

JM> I assume you have never negotiated with a Doctor over cost.

Why would I? My insurance company does. Do you get a better
    price by negotiating?

LL>>>>> Where did I say that doctors and nurses and other health
    BK>> professionals
LL>>>>> should not be given fair compensation for their work?

JM>>>> Nowhere, you just want to tell them how much they can make

    BK>> My insurance company does...

JM> Then let the Doctor and insurance company work it out.
JM> The Government doesn't need to be involved.

You really don't know how O'Romney care works, do you? That is
how it works, the insurance exchanges only allow you to chose
the insurance company, it doesn't set prices. The insurance
companies still negotiate the prices with the medical industry.
    That part doesn't change.

BK>> Whatever you want to claim about doctors getting anything they
BK>> can get away with, I will say they don't deserve 20% of the GDP
    BK>> of this country.

JM> Fortunately for us, what you say doesn't mean squat

Unfortunately for all of us, that 20% is what is likely to
bankrupt this country. The Soviet Union spent 15% of their GDP
on the military, do you think 20% on medical care isn't going to
    be disasterous?

JM>>>>> SO WHAT? There is no UN plan to pay for the freeloaders, except to
JM>>>>> tax the U.S. and that power is NOT subject to ANY UN treaty.

BK>> The constant reference to freeloaders and moochers just is a
BK>> play to distort reality so your side can claim a win by covering
BK>> up the fact that most uninsured are not moochers or freeloaders,
BK>> they are decent hardworking people who don't make enough money
BK>> to buy insurance, and don't get it from their employer.

BK>> Do you provide insurance for your employees?

JM> I pay my employees as independent contractors. I pay them a
JM> set hourly wage with nothing taken out. If they don't
JM> provide healthcare for then-self and family it's their
    JM> problem.

IOW, you can't honestly say you pay them enough. Or do you
believe they can individually buy insurance for a price in the
range of business? Do you know what it will cost them? Do you
pay them enough to have a middle class standard of living and
    pay for insurance?
