BK>> ...               BK>>>> Doctors make up the biggest single group in the 1%.               JM>>> I hope you will understand if I don't believe you.               BK>> Have you ever done any research on the subject?               JM> Have you?               Just a quick google. Forbes has a 2005 chart that has        managers/supervisors etc in top position, but their chart is        old, as they say themselves, and they don't identify what sort        of managers. The NYT has a chart that breaks down different        sorts of managers. Total managers are still the biggest group,        but construction managers are not the same as bank managers or        elementary school managers etc. Physicians are the number on        group that is identifiably related. Google for occupations in        the 1%.               BK>> ...               JM>>>>> I asked what rights, gave examples of some things that        JM>>>>> misinformed people think are rights and expressed my               BK>>>> I happen to think those things *ARE* rights, if our society        BK>>>> decides they are.               JM>>> Then once again you would be wrong. Your "right" cannot        JM>>> cost another person anything.               BK>> Then you have no actual rights.               JM> Sure I do. Freedom of speech doesn't cost anything.               It cost a lot of people their lives. It costs what it takes to        maintain it every day.               Freedom is not free.               JM>>>>> opinion. You chose not to answer the question. Instead you        JM>>>>> assume that these are my pet peeves and make accusations        JM>>>>> about me putting words in your mouth.               BK>>>> He was right on that one.               JM>>> No He is trying to put words in my mouth.               BK>> Which is what you did to him.               BK>>>> ...               JM>>>>> Selfish attitudes?        JM>>>>> What do you think is selfish?               BK>>>> I would say any attitude that ends up with what is to your        BK>>>> advantage is right, and if it leaves others suffering it doesn't        BK>>>> matter.               JM>>> So it is your right to take money away from those that have        JM>>> it and give it to you to pay for your medical care?        JM>>> That's sick.               BK>> It's sick that you offered that suggestion. I am one who is        BK>> paying into the tax system that pays for other's medical care.               BK>> OTOH, I am a Christian.               JM> So you say. I bet you are still practicing because you        JM> can't seem to get it right.               That's my tagline.               BK>> If you chose to live in this society you have to live with the        BK>> rules of this society. BTW, as long as hospitals are required to        BK>> provide emergency room care without regard for ability to pay,        BK>> you have to live with that. Or you can suggest the alternative,        BK>> if you can't pay you die.               JM> So if you can't take care of yourself, you need big brother        JM> to strong arm others for protection. And you think that's        JM> just fine?               No one can be sure he can take care of himself all the time.        Anyone may need "big brother" at any time. The only way anyone        can be sure help will be there is if help is there for everyone.               That is how a civilized society works. A third world society        doesn't have that. The right wing it working to turn the US into        a third world country.                            BOB KLAHN bob.klahn@sev.org http://home.toltbbs.com/bobklahn              ...
