    The top earning specialties, not the top earnings in the   
    specialties.

    The part where you show whether that's the top pay, the median   
    pay, or the average pay, in those specialties.   
      
    Do radiologists earn top pay of $315,000? I doubt it. Is that   
    their median or average pay? Possible.   
      
    If you try to tell me no cardiologist earns more than $315K/yr   
    I'll find at least one who earns more and prove you wrong.   
      
    Also, when were the numbers you posted compiled? I just checked,   
    healthcareers.about.com shows Neurosurgeons top paid at well   
    over $600K/yr. Orthopedi Surgeons over $475K/yr, and plastic   
    surgeons as $405K/yr, average pay. I believe all those qualify   
    for the top 1%.   
      
    Salary.com gives $386K/yr for the median for radiologists.
