Hello John,              >LL>Rupert Murdoch contributed $4.5 billion to Gingrich.       >LL>Georgia's Richards family, owners of Southwire Corparate),       >LL>contributed $1.3 billion (per year) to Gingrich.              >JM>Do you really believe this BS or did you put this in here       >JM>just because it sounds like some thing the American Dumb       >JM>Masses will accept with out thinking about it?              >LL>Who sez it is BS?              JM>I say your claim that Southwire contributed $1.3 billion       JM>(per year) to Gingrich Is total Bullshit. Not only that I       JM>say you knew that when you posted it.              It is not my claim, as I am only the messenger.       I noted a web site, which does cite its sources -              http://www.realchange.org/gingrich.htm              Newt Gingrich (the Ignatius J. Reilly of politics) is not unlike most       other politicians. Accepting campaign contributions is not a sin. Not       in the world of politics, anyway. Whatever influence Southwire may have       had on Gingrich as a result of those campaign contributions is open for       speculation. Donors always hope their money talks, and that politicians       receiving those donations vote their way. And that is usually the way       it works. Not always, but usually, as those who are ungrateful tend not       to remain in office for very long.              --Lee                      * SLMR 2.1a * Im he as ur he as ur me n w'r ll 2gtha              --- Maximus 3.01        * Origin: Xaragmata / Adelaide SA telnet://xaragmata.mooo.com (3:800/432)    |
