   It is not about the bogus claim of voter fraud.  It is about blocking   
   the vote.  Making it too difficult for blacks, the elderly, hispanics,   
   and other minorities to bother with voting, thus giving Republican   
   candidates an edge.   
      
   Some states are now requiring picture IDs.  Not only picture IDs,   
   but picture IDs that are *signed*.  Voter registration cards do not   
   count.  As a result, many registered voters are not allowed to vote,   
   much less have their votes counted.   
      
   Polling places are open for fewer hours, voter registration is   
   becoming more difficult, and other road blocks are being put in   
   place.  The objective is to make it hard for minorities to vote,   
   to the point where minorities will eventually give up even trying   
   to vote.  And then Republican candidates will win by default.
