JM> You linked to a cartoon? Is this another subject you "Just aren't up

I have been a union member in the past and probably understand where the labour
movement is as well as you do without viewing it through your dung coloured
glasses. Unions these day, for the most part are about securing the perks of
management for the union officials. They have become as much a business as the
businesses that they rail about - for the most part. Their product is
memberships and their profits are the dues collected from the rank and file. If
they do manage to secure any increased benefits and wages for that rank and
   file - well, that's just a mitzvah.

But, you posted a text cartoon. So, I posted a link to an editorial cartoon.
And from an artist who has more chops in his field than your fair-haired quotee
(from your cut & paste) likely has in his.

Mike Thompson is the editorial cartoonist for the Detroit Free Press . His work
is syndicated to more than 400 publications via Copley News Service. Thompson,
who draws for USA Today on a regular basis, has had his work reprinted in such
publications as Time, Newsweek, Forbes, The New York Times and The Wall Street
Journal . In addition, his cartoons have been featured on CNN, C-SPAN, The CBS
Evening News, PBS, the Today show and the Fox News Network. Thompson began his
career as contributing cartoonist for The Milwaukee Journal and later worked as
staff cartoonist for the St. Louis Sun and the Copley Illinois newspapers
before joining the Free Press in November of 1998. His work has won numerous
   awards.

   Major Awards:
Scripps Howard - National Journalism Award, 2010
   Sigma Delta Chi Award, 2002
   Sigma Delta Chi Award, 1999
National Press Foundation - Berryman Award, 1999
   Locher Award / Students, 1989
Overseas Press Club - Thomas Nast Award, 2001

BTW - did you even bother to go look at the panel?
