   Hello Richard,

RW> "The gross national product does not allow for the health of our children,
RW> the quality of their education, or the joy of their play. It does not
RW> include the beauty of our poetry or the strength of our marriages; the
RW> intelligence of our public debate or the integrity of our public
   officials.
RW> It measures neither our wit nor our courage; neither our wisdom nor our
RW> learning; neither our compassion nor our devotion to our country; it
RW> measures everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile."

    RW> -- Robert F. Kennedy, 1968

I'll agree with that. The economy is for the person, not the other
way around. Can't buy me love any more than the Beatles could.

Bobby Kennedy used to always keep a small notebook with him at all
times. Whenever he would run across a thought or a quote of something
he found profound, he would write it in his notebook. After his
untimely death, one of the Kennedy's (I forgot which one) published
the contents of that notebook. I have it somewhere, but would take
forever to find it as it is in storage. A very small hard cover book.
Probably still in print. RFK's collection was not about any specific
field or area, such as politics or religion. More like a collection
that was a reflection of his private thoughts.
