BTW, 51% of the population is employed. 58.5% of        those considered of working age.               This country still produces most of what it consumes, and most        of what it produces is services rather than goods. Even of goods        a large portion, if not the majority, is produced here.               92% of the workforce is employed.               Add in the nearly 4 million available for work but counted as        out of the workforce and you get just under 90% employed. Which        is just over 10% unemployed.
