   Rush Limbaugh called a young woman who is studying law at a Roman   
   Catholic institution a "slut" and a "prostitute", among other things.   
   Why?  Not because she testified before a congressional committee in   
   an effort to inform them about one of her friends who has a medical   
   problem that cannot be effectively treated without the aid of   
   contraceptives, but rather because Rush Limbaugh hates women.   
   Republican candidates for president Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum   
   both failed to condemn Limbaugh's hateful rhetoric, as if women's   
   rights were of no concern to them.   
      
   Although it is my opinion that racists and bigots such as Rush Limbaugh   
   have no business being on the airwaves, it is their constitutional right   
   to express their opinions.  And the longer and more loudly they express   
   their opinions, the more likely it is for candidates who are not racists   
   and bigots to win elections.   
      
   So maybe it is a good thing for Democrats and Independents that   
   Rush Limbaugh remains on the air, with Republicans refusing to condemn   
   his words.  This will ensure re-election for Barack Obama, as well   
   as other like-minded candidates.
